What is JVT?
JTAC Virtual Trainer, or JVT, is the premier Joint Fires simulator for precision military training, providing the most realistic, tactically relevant, and easy-to-use interface available today. It was jointly developed between military fires professionals and commercial video game and technology experts, making it the standout solution for modern Joint Fires training.
JVT is highly flexible and capable of meeting your training needs. It can be used in 2D, VR, XR, is scalable for collective training, and can be integrated with legacy and existing systems. It is fully accredited by the US Joint Staff and in compliance with the JTAC Memorandum of Agreement.
Highly Realistic and Tactically Relevant
JVT was developed through a combination of commercial gaming developers and Joint Fires Subject Matter Experts, along with innovative commercial technology business inputs. This user-friendly system is easily upgraded to ensure continued relevance in an environment of rapidly advancing TTPs (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures), weapons systems, and ordnance.
Flexible and Scalable
Designed with the warfighter in mind, JVT can be used as a single station VR/XR training simulator, or it can be used in a 2D laptop mode that supports procedural and team training as well as mission rehearsals. Training scenarios can be built ahead of time and saved to increase training efficiency.
Networking and Interoperability
JVT systems can be networked together for up-to battalion levels fires training. Communicating through DIS/HLA connection JVT can be networked with other simulators to create a live virtual training environment.
Compact and Deployable
All of the components of the JVT system are housed in a single rollable Pelican Storm iM2975 rugged and waterproof resistant case, weighing 65lbs, measuring 29in x 18in x 14in, and fitted with custom cut foam compartments.

JVT is fully accredited by the US Joint Staff for training. It was developed by working with fires professionals in accordance with their needs. No aircraft, ordnance or ranges are required. It will not be impacted by weather or logistical challenges. A small space and electrical power is all that is required. JVT is a virtual reality training platform for JTAC, FiST and Call for Fire Training. JVT is currently fielded throughout the Marine Corp and used exclusively at the MAWTS-1 WTI course.
